About Us

About Insight Choices

Mental health care begins with understanding the person, not just the diagnosis.

Founded in 2007, Insight Choices is committed to providing patient-centered mental health care for individuals across California and has served more than 10,000 clients. We offer both in-person and telehealth services through a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychotherapists, and social workers.

We believe mental health treatment should never be one-size-fits-all. Symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, daily functioning, previous treatment experiences, personal circumstances, and goals can differ greatly from one person to another. Before making treatment recommendations, our clinicians take time to understand these factors and work with each patient to discuss an appropriate path forward.

Our Approach

Individualized Evaluation and Shared Decision-Making

Treatment planning begins with a thoughtful clinical evaluation rather than a single symptom or diagnosis alone. We value each patient’s understanding of their condition, treatment preferences, and goals, and we encourage active participation in care decisions.

Multidisciplinary Care

Our team brings together professionals from different areas of mental health care. Depending on individual needs, care may include psychiatric services, medication management, psychotherapy, and other appropriate support. When needed, clinicians may also discuss referrals or additional care options.

Evidence-Informed and Safety-Focused Care

We emphasize clinically appropriate assessment, treatment selection, and ongoing follow-up. Care is adjusted to the individual, with treatment effectiveness, tolerability, and next steps reassessed when appropriate. We do not believe that any single treatment is right for everyone.

Whole-Person Mental Health

Mental health can be influenced by sleep, stress, lifestyle, relationships, and day-to-day functioning. In addition to medication or psychotherapy when appropriate, clinicians may discuss relevant lifestyle factors as part of a broader conversation about well-being.

Our Vision

Our vision is to make professional, respectful, and individualized mental health care more accessible to those seeking support.

Based in Los Angeles, Insight Choices serves patients through both in-person care and telehealth services across California. Through thoughtful clinical evaluation, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, and other appropriate treatment options, we aim to help patients better understand their mental health, participate actively in care decisions, and work toward greater stability and well-being in everyday life.

We do not believe there is a single approach to mental health care that is right for everyone. Treatment recommendations should be guided by individual needs, clinical evaluation, and professional judgment.

Our Core Values

Compassion

Seeking mental health care can be a vulnerable experience. We approach each patient with empathy, respect, and understanding while working to provide a safe and supportive environment.

Personalized Care

Every patient’s symptoms, circumstances, needs, and treatment goals are different. We use individualized evaluation to guide conversations about appropriate treatment and care options.

Excellence

We value professional standards, thoughtful clinical evaluation, and evidence-informed care. Treatment appropriateness and ongoing needs are reassessed based on each patient’s individual circumstances.

Accessibility

We work to reduce barriers to mental health care by offering both in-person and telehealth options, along with flexible scheduling that includes weekend availability for patients across California.

Collaboration

Patients are active participants in their care. We encourage questions, discussion of treatment preferences, and shared participation in clinical decision-making.

Integrity

We value honest, transparent, and ethical communication about mental health care. Treatment options, considerations, and limitations should be discussed clearly without making inappropriate guarantees about any particular treatment or outcome.

Our Services
